Saving to my downloads file from all Saves






















 · Before whenever I downloaded a file, it automatically prompted me if I wanted to open the file or save it to my computer, with saving it to my computer preselected. This was fine because I almost never want to open these downloads automatically, and I like all my downloads to go into my downloads folder on a separate drive with much more space.  · On Windows Click on MS icon on left corner of the task bar (4 rectangles or windows sign)2. Right click Control panel Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations3. Sort by Description (Other available options are Name, Current Default)4. You will notice that the (Adobe Acrobat Document) PDF files have been associated with Chrome html or other similar file types like firefox etc5. No matter which default setting you choose, you still can select the save location you want each time you save a file. When you click Save for new files or Save As for existing files, click OneDrive or This PC and then pick a folder to save your file to.


. #1. I use chrome as my browser and a problem has come to light. When I save anything (jpeg,video everything) from the net it saves as a TMP file directly to the downloads file I went to settings, advanced and downloads. Location is the download file and "Ask where to save each file before downloading" is checked". Download a file. To save a file or image on your computer or device, download it. Hello, I tried this, and downloaded a free adobe to my computer. chose it as my default for pdf downloads on chrome. unforturnately it didn't work, and document appears as "invalid document" when i try to save it. so I switched back to save as chrome html, and now I can't save anything! not sure what went wrong. but now i'm worse off.
